The crew
Who is actually here.
A BS in Marine Science from Texas A&M University, and a US Army combat veteran — active 2000 to 2005, Reserves 2005 to 2010.
Todd has worked the oilfields and currently works as a physical scientist, running Hephaestus alongside it until the company can get off the ground and onto another one.
Tony has been part of Hephaestus since the very beginning and handles the software side of everything we build. He holds a degree in computer gaming development and is a US Army combat veteran.
Tony is shy of cameras, so he gets a badge instead of a photograph. He earned it either way.
Tina played a crucial role in the continued success of this business. Her skill, her passion and her creativity inspired the growth that got us here.
She is in heaven motivating us now. Love yea, sis.
Sebastian is the passion around here. He greets everyone and cannot wait for the business to grow so there are more people to greet.
He lies down and watches the work around every machine. His standards are high — mess something up and he is ready with a tongue lashing. One day there will be a dogs of the Moon section.
Two combat veterans
It shapes how the place runs.
Todd and Tony both served in the US Army, and both saw combat. That is not a marketing line on this site, it is most of the founding team.
What it means in practice is fairly simple. Say what you are going to do. Do it. If you cannot, say that early rather than late. Check the work before you hand it over, and check it again if somebody else has to depend on it.
It is also why the honesty on the rest of this website is not a style choice. Overstating a capability is how people get hurt.
